Gorilla Zoe Exclusive Interview CHAMP: What are you up to at the current moment homey? Gorilla Zoe: What’s up bro? I’m in the studio right now working on the Block Boys project. That’s my own group. CHAMP: Now with Block Boys you said it was a new group. Who do we got on the roster? Gorilla Zoe: We got P, Young Chris, Supplier and they all got they own personalities and that’s what I’m working on right now. CHAMP: You guys actually just dropped a video Gorilla Zoe: Oh yeah! CHAMP: The album of course is Don’t Feed Da Animals and it’s out. How do you feel about the response to the album so far? Gorilla Zoe: It’s great. The video debuted at number one and number two R&B. It’s poppin’ off real hard on iTunes. It’s doing really good. CHAMP: Now of course the title. Where exactly does that stem from and why’d you choose that to name your album? Gorilla Zoe: If you follow Gorilla Zoe you’ll know Welcome to the Zoo. Don’t Feed Da Animals is to let you know don’t feed them ‘cause they gon’ want more CHAMP: Got you. Now who do we got featured on the album production wise and artist-wise? Gorilla Zoe: Zaytoven, Drumma Boy, Rick Ross on the album, Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman on the album, Kollosus. CHAMP: Now in terms of the process for Don’t Feed Da Animals, what message were you trying to get across with this album and did the final product come out the way you wanted it to? Gorilla Zoe: I just wanted to make my own lane of music and do whatever I wanted to CHAMP: Now there’s footage of cats on the internet saying something about you not being able to go back. Do you know any of those cats and is there any truth to this? Gorilla Zoe: Noooo. I’m 27 years old so my thing is I ain’t gon’ be sitting around in the hood doing nothing. I done spent my whole life in the hood and I’m tryna live man, and I’m living good right now. CHAMP: A few months ago there was an issue with Rocko who had a problem with you hoping on his track without any authorization. Did you guys speak about the situation and where do you guys stand? Gorilla Zoe: We just did a record together two days ago. That was just a situation where management wanted me on it to give it a push and they ended up sending the track out and cats started playing the track with me on it and we had never talked but we straightened out. CHAMP: Now on a lighter note I was peeping a vid and in Ohio. You had a huge chick get naked for you for some tix in the freezing cold. What was going through your mind when that happened? Gorilla Zoe: Oh my God I can’t believe she’s doing this CHAMP: You’ve been hitting the gym lately. How much are you trying to lose and how much have you lost? Gorilla Zoe: I’m at 220 now I’m tryna get at about 205 CHAMP: Of course you’re on Bad Boy how much of an input did Diddy have on this project? Gorilla Zoe: You know it ain’t going out unless he puts his hands on it so he pushed the album. CHAMP: Now where in the second quarter of 09. What else can we expect from Gorilla.Zoe for the rest of the year? Gorilla Zoe: Definitely get ready for The Block Boys. The biggest group from here til 2015 CHAMP: Is there a project in the works this year? Gorilla Zoe: Working on a mixtape and working on King Kong right now WHAT IT IS - GORILLA ZOE FT. RICK ROSS
