PARIS HILTON'S BFF BRITTANY FLICKENGER INTERVIEW
The Boy Hollywood
CHAMP MAGAZINE
CHAMP: What’s Goodie Brittany? So first and foremost if you had to describe yourself what would it be?
Brittany Flickenger: Well, I’m pretty straight forward and real. I have a wacky sense of humor and love to have a good time. Currently, I’m working on some music and putting together a band. I’m working with Forever the Sickest Kids and I’ll be in their Hey Brittany music video. CHAMP: You won the show "Paris Hilton's My New BFF.” First the obvious question. What is it really like to be Paris' BFF?
Brittany Flickenger: Paris is awesome! We have a great time together; she’s actually pretty funny and loves to have a good time too.
CHAMP: How’s life been after the show?
Brittany Flickenger: During and since the show, I’ve traveled more than I ever traveled for one thing. I’ve met some awesome people that I wouldn’t have ever thought I would meet.
CHAMP: How’s your friends before the fame. Anyone throwing the sell out name at you?
Brittany Flickenger: My friends all know that I didn’t sell out for the show and they get mad when someone writes and says I did. Some people thought I was just using Paris to get a career out of her but that’s so stupid, I made it clear from the beginning that I was going to pursue a music career. Why would I give that up for a reality show?
CHAMP: What is the best and what the worst part about being Paris' BFF?
Brittany Flickenger: The best is having a great friend and the worst is the gossip. I don’t even know where some of the stuff comes from.
CHAMP: Now Paris is off looking for a British BFF. What does that mean?
Brittany Flickenger: I knew back in the fall about the British BFF and I met some of them when they visited here. They were so funny. I’ve been watching the show and I like it, it’s pretty fun. Paris is casting now for BFF 2 here in the States anyone over 21 can apply. The more the merrier, ya know?
CHAMP: There were plenty of arguments during the show. How did you all get along when the cameras were off and especially after you won?
Brittany Flickenger: Well, when the cameras weren’t rolling we got along better, like a family and drama was at a minimum. In high school I was a peer mediator so I kinda played that role in the house. But we all got along pretty well even Corrie and Zui. Vanessa and I had already packed and left the house by the end of the show and I didn’t see her after we got into separate vehicles.
CHAMP: Is there anybody else you think would have deserved to be Paris' BFF, besides yourself?
Brittany Flickenger: To be honest I think I was really the best choice because I know I’m a good friend and not a fan, I’m trustworthy and love to have fun.
. CHAMP: What are your plans and goals ‘09?
Brittany Flickenger: Right now, I’m working on getting my music career off the ground and I’ve been collaborating with a few people I want to keep secret for now. I’m excited that I have one song almost ready to record. It’s been a little hard to work around everyone’s schedules to work together though. As for other areas of the entertainment world, I’ve been on a couple of auditions but nothing serious. CHAMP: So have you and Paris gone on any trips together, ‘cause she be everywhere in the world?
Brittany Flickenger: Paris and I went to Miami, Vegas, Aspen, Sydney, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and I think Brisbane Australia, and the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. I’d love to go to Europe. I think I’d like to visit Italy to see all the art, architecture, ruins, the Riviera, the Tuscan and Umbrian country sides. I think I’d need to stay there for a while.
CHAMP: What do you want the fans and people to know and what else can we expect from you?
Brittany Flickenger: First, I’d like to say THANK YOU and you’re awesome. I wouldn’t be where I am without you. Watch for my music that’s coming soon. I also want them to know that I’m going to be a revolution and I expect them to join me in making the world a better place.
