CHAMP: What's poppin' with you currently at the moment?
Roccett: You know. We just grindin' and I'm in studio doing my thing and just tryina give good music to my fans and that's all I really care about
CHAMP: You've just signed with USDA. How you feelin' bout your new situation over there?
Roccett: I've been around with Jeezy for a minute but now we just makin' it official with the group USDA and it's cool man. I think it's a good thing and I think when we actually get the music out it's gon' be good quality music.
CHAMP: Like you had said, you were messin' with Jeezy and rollin' with him and he had no idea you could spit at the beginning. What was his reaction when found out you can drop a verse?
Roccett: He wanted to make it CTE from that moment, he all ready knew that type of person I was and then when he saw I made music and could rap that just solidified the situation.
CHAMP: Feel you on that. Now you stated that you're not an east, west, mid-west, or south artist, and that you're universal. Could you elaborate on that?
Roccett: I'm from everywhere man. There's not a place I haven't been. I just try to blend in everything from where I've been and the culture's that I've met and interact with and I find its an advantage. My objective is always to reach other people in other places and to be a worldwide artist.
CHAMP: Understandable. You're working on your upcoming album. Is it true Hov's gonna be on that?
Roccett: Yeah I'ma have Jeezy on that and I'ma have some other people on it also. I really don't focus myself on collaborations with other artists for my album because as a new artist you already know of the artists I'm working with, so I would want the fans to get to know me, 100 percent Roccett so they can respect me and my music the same as they respect the other artists named.
CHAMP: Now what's the title we're workin' on for this album?
Roccett: I don't wanna leak nothing yet until I get the right one but I do have The Chronic 2009 mixtape dropping this February so that's gonna be crazy. Make sure you log onto www.iamroccett.com and www.myspace.com/roccett and check for that....
CHAMP: Now going back to the album. Do you know exactly when we can expect that to drop, or is it still in production stages?
Roccett: It's still at it's early stages man. We just getting things together in 09. My label is Get Your Green Up Entertainment with my manager Rick Edwards, we getting all the business in order, trying to find the right label for distribution/partnership and working on the album at the same time….
CHAMP: You endorse for Makavelli clothing. How'd that whole thing hook up and what's going on with that?
Roccett: My manager Rick Edwards hooked me up with that whole thing. Anything having to do with Tupac, I'd be honored to do. We got a lot more things to come and we on the grind….
CHAMP: Now you had the I'm A Ryda video out. What other videos can we expect that you may be leaking out and is there a first single that workin' on as well?
Roccett: I got so many songs that I'ma try and do a video for. We try and shoot Viral or Hood videos all the time…. Any song that I think would be a good visual we will shoot something for…
CHAMP: Like you said you got The Chronic 2009 droppin' January. What else can we expect from Roccett coming in to the New Year? Rocett: Like I said the mixtape coming out. I got a lot of new songs that I'ma be leaking. I'm just gon' be flooding the streets with new music. I will be dropping my album this year, hopefully we drop the USDA album early this year, we gonna develop www.iamroccett.com, just keep working.
