Liza Irirzarry

LIZA IRIZARRY INTERVIEW
CHAMP MAGAZINE
The Boy Hollywood

CHAMP: What’s goodie Liza. What are you up to at the current moment?

Liza Irirzarry: I’m actually working lol

CHAMP: Lol. Of course you hail from Washington Heights. How long have you been modeling for?

Liza Irizarry: Probably  a little over seven years.

CHAMP: A lot of cats are gonna be looking at you and wondering what your background is so if you can break them off with Lizas nationality.

Liza Irizarry: I’m a mut lol. My father is from Puerto Rican descent, and my mom is Dominican.

CHAMP: Now are you fluent in Spanish?

Liza Irirzarry: Very

CHAMP: Now how would you say I Love Toronto in Spanish?

Liza Irizarry: Lol. (Says I love Toronto in Spanish)

CHAMP: Now you seem like a pretty young girl and I know that it’s rude to ask a lady for her age, but how old are you?

Liza Irizarry: Damn…Do I have to tell you?!

CHAMP: Heeeeey man it’s up to you. You can give me a fake age or you don’t have to answer it doesn’t matter to me.

Liza Irizarry: I’m 31.

CHAMP: That’s what’s up! You look like you’re 19.

Liza Irizarry: Thank you! I get that a lot like “You’re 31? I thought you were 25 or 22”

CHAMP: What are some projects people may recognize you from?

Liza Irizarry: Mostly magazines I would say. Smooth magazine, Show magazine, and I always get fan mail about my Jet layout.

CHAMP: So you would say that Jet is where you get the most looks from?

Liza Irizarry: Yeah Jet, but I also got some looks from Source magazine.

CHAMP: For my fellas are you single?

Liza Irizarry: I’m involved

CHAMP: That’s a heartbreaker right there but what are the qualities you look for in a dude if you were single?

Liza Irizarry: Just very clean cut, has to be funny, he can’t have bad breath

CHAMP: Lol.

Liza Irizarry: Well groomed I would say with a nice personality and good sense of humor.

CHAMP: What would be Liza’s biggest turn off?

Liza Irizarry: Bad Breath lol and long nails. Those are like my biggest pet peeves. People that are not well groomed, are not clean, they smell, uh uh that’s not cute.

CHAMP: They gotta have their hygiene up

Liza Irizarry: Yeah! They can’t try too hard

CHAMP: What would be your turn ons?

Liza Irizarry: Hmmm…I have so many lol

CHAMP: Ok let’s narrow it down to maybe two or three

Liza Irizarry: I would say the eyes. The way a guy looks at you and the way he approaches you. I would say the eyes

CHAMP: What are some of your hidden talents?

Liza Irizarry: I sing.

CHAMP: Ok. Are you working on a singing career at the moment?

Liza Irizarry: I actually started off with a singing career. That’s how I got into modeling. I was in two girl groups. The last one, I was actually working on a project with Kurtis Blow, and we had some problems with management and it was just ugly. I’m gonna start working on my music again and I’m concentrating on my music an acting right now.
CHAMP: What kind of sound are you trying to approach when re-launching your career?

Liza Irizarry: R & B.

CHAMP: You’re also a spokesmodel. What does that mean?

Liza Irizarry: I’m actually the face for an adult novelty company. I am their spokesmodel, and I’m in their catalogue, posters, flyers. If you go to their website you’ll see my picture there. Sometimes they’ll have events at trade shows and I’ll go with them and sign autographs and stuff like that.

CHAMP: You also do editorial as well?

Liza Irizarry: Mhmm!

CHAMP: Now are you still at Washington Heights or have you  relocated somewhere else?

Liza Irizarry: I’m in the Bronx which is actually close to Washington Heights.

CHAMP: Let’s just say we become best friends after this interview and I wanna fly out to the BX. Where would you say is the hot spots to be at and where would you bring me to impress me?

Liza Irizarry: In the city we’d have to go to the Meat Packing district. I haven’t been out in awhile but the Meat Packing district, is always hot. A lot of peole go to SPK for dinner, and then after dinner there’s so many spots we can go out and hang out and have a drink. The clubs of course is Marquee, which is the biggest club out here, we have Club Home, Club Bed, we have it all. It’s New York. The city that never sleeps.

CHAMP: When it comes to modeling there are a lot of pics that get enhanced in certain assets with photoshoping and all that. What would be Lizas official measurements?

Liza Irizarry: To be honest, I don’ know right now because I’m in the process of losing weight. I’m doing a master cleanse and I’ve been losing weight, so I wouldn’t be able to give you accurate measurements but I’m 34D which is my bust, my waist is usually 28, and my hips are 38 or 39.

CHAMP You had mentioned earlier you’re doing your singing thing. Is there anything else that you may be using the modeling thing as a pedestal to achieve something else in life?

Liza Irizarry: As far as the acting yeah

CHAMP: Have you been reading scripts these days or has their been and roles?

Liza Irizarry: I got two offers. I have a few projects that I might be doing so it’s not official yet but I’m waiting for the director to send me the script so I have a script that I’m reading.

CHAMP: Let’s talk about your website. What can people catch on the site?

Liza Irizarry: You can catch stuff I’ve done in the past because my website hasn’t been updated in a while, but you can find pictures, but the best way to find the most updated information about me is by googling me.

CHAMP: What joints are you jamming to right now?

Liza Irizarry: Right now?...Jamie Foxx

CHAMP: “Blame It On the Alcohol”?

Liza Irizarry: That one and “Just Like Me”.

CHAMP: When are you gonna come up to Toronto man?

Liza Irizarry: That’s a good question. Maybe next year sometime, cause this year I already went to St.Lucia and I might be going to L.A.

CHAMP: What else can we expect from Liza this year?

Liza Irizarry: Maybe a few more prints, maybe a few more magazines, possibly might be doing a magazine. I don’t wanna start speaking too soon. I might be doing Show magazine again so look out for that. Possibly a movie and the singing. That’s it!.
